Workshops for kids
Children Ceramics Workshop
This is a 3 hour session where children will get a chance to try their hand at ceramics. They will be guided by our experienced teachers on how to make pinch pots from scratch with custom designs and decoration. The students will have a first hand experience of the building process for pottery, from start to finish. They will refine their technical skills and learn how to create their own pinch pots or coil pots with guidance, beginning with clay. They will then be encouraged to express their creativity with sculpting and decorating their product into personalised cups or flower pots. At the end of the session, your child will take back their very own hand made, high quality custom pottery!
Children Jesmonite Marble/Terrazzo Workshop
This is a 1.5 hour casting workshop where your child will learn the basics of casting with Jesmonite* with our experienced teaching artists. During the workshop the students will get a chance to express their creativity and independence in designing their very own colour palette. They will also learn how to mix and add pigments to the Jesmonite to create a beautiful masterpiece. Every single piece is carefully cast by hand and is completely unique in its colour and designs. At the end of the workshop, every participant will be entitled to 2 Circle/Square Coasters or 1 Tray. All materials will be provided, and no experience is necessary.
*JESMONITE is a non-toxic, water-based resin system that is made up of 2 parts - a mineral reason powder and an acrylic liquid
Suitable for all kids with little or no experience, age between 6 to 12 years old.
