-3hrs (1 session) -$125 -Small class size of 2 to start. Not more than 4 pax per session -16 x 12" canvas size This program is an introductory course for beginners to explore and understand the wonderful world of oil painting. Your canvas will already be primed, stained and sketched so that you can paint at your own pace and experience the viscosity of the oils. Our trainers will teach you fundamental basics such as colour mixing techniques, application of the paint, colour temperature and blending techniques. You will even learn the different ways of holding brushes and a bristle so that you are equipped with the skills you need to create your own masterpiece. Class Details: - Scumbling: This allows students to create a grisselle painting through a dry brush technique on a monochromatic piece, just as renaissance artists used to create before glazing. -Alla prima: This is a wet on wet technique that will allow the student to attempt it on either a monochromatic or coloured outcome. The objective of this session is to let students discover oil painting and hopefully spark an interest with the process and eventually explore more techniques on their own or with us. Disclaimer: This experiential class aims to let students gain the exposure of oil painting without needing the knowledge of drawing or having prior experience. Students will learn two core basic techniques, among the many forms and techniques in oil painting.
